history of the land
Kasarina vineyard is situated in the Hawkesbury valley basin approximately 1 hour drive north west of Sydney on the Hawkesbury River. In the past the property has been used for both dairying and beef cattle farming, and in the year 2000, a new dream was realised and the planning for a unique product began. With our thorough research completed, we realised a vision. A unique grape with distinct flavours would be our distinction and the first sowing of our Chambourcin grape variety was planted. and to this day we continue to grow. The family have been on the property since 1962 and have seen the extreme conditions of flood and drought over this period. Moving through the arena of dairying to beef cattle production and to a mix of Viticulture and Beef today.

  our branding
The Red Throat branding is inspired by the recovery of the Eastern Water Dragon family of lizards on our revegetated riverbank. The wine labels are designed from photographs of our much loved water dragon "families", of which the largest male spotted has exceeded a length of 1 metre.
